Last Week - Daily Photo Challenge

So, I've been mostly consistent about taking a photo everyday. Only one missed day. Now, these are not technically perfect photos but they a good day in the life captures. Yes, I spend too much time with my pets and my kids are crazy. No surprise there. Ken wants no part of daily photos. I begged my co-workers to for a photo on Friday because even I know there's a limit on how many cat pics you can post before you get a reputation.

Pretty 365

I'm terrible at 365 (or this year, 366) day challenges. My goal is to take a photo each day and to have them printed and put in an album by the end of the year.

Will I post all my photos here? No, probably not but I'll try to get them here when I can.

I used to be a fanatic scrap-booker and I have several albums from when Bailey was little. Now he's almost 18. I have a half finished album I started when Anique was a baby.

I would like to do a better job with my record keeping this year.

Here's Day 1:

365 Days of Gratitude

As 2013 is about to start I have been thinking about a 365 day challenge. Elsie over at A Beautiful Mess tried one last year. She talks about it here. Amy of Amy Tangerine challenged herself with Project Life. I'm thinking this is something I would like to try.

I thought about a few possible options (self-portraits, sketching daily, the standby exercise). Ultimately, I decided to challenge myself to a photography challenge.

It's easy to get caught up in the negative and the what now's when going through a challenging time. The stress can consume me and I forget to open my eyes wider and see the positives. There are so many blessings and those should be recognized.

So, my 365 day challenge will be to take a picture day of something I am grateful for. I want to open my eyes and my heart to the positive, recognize the blessings, and celebrate the good that exists.

Stay tuned, for the first post tomorrow!
